Doug Reed

Doug has an adaptable leadership style that spans companies of all sizes in the scientific and clinical instrument and consumable markets. His 30+ year career included working at a venture capital start up, privately owned and Fortune 100 companies. He has held multiple President, general management, commercial sales and marketing executive leadership positions. Most recently, he was the President and CEO of a privately owned global manufacturing company specializing in scientific and clinical laboratory equipment and supplies.

During Doug’s work career, he has been active in developing people to their fullest potential as well as helping over 50 people in job transition find new opportunities. This help included career counseling, resume writing tips, LinkedIn advice and making connections. Doug experienced the great work of Career Place when in job transition in 2015. After landing a new position, he joined the CareerPlace Board for a couple of years.

Job hunting can be lonely and a daunting task with no clear roadmap on how to be successful. As a coach at The Barrington Career Center, Doug looks forward to helping others use these same tools to find their next opportunity.
