Career Coaching with Brent White

Brent knows firsthand what it feels like to experience the emotional roller coaster ride of the job search, having been out of work for eight months at one point in his career. Conducting a job search can be a lonely experience, so it is important to seek out job seeker support. The Barrington Career Center offers members critical skills, strategies, information, advice, and support needed to make the job search a positive experience that results in success.

For the past 10 years, he has been helping professionals find their next career adventure. Beginning in 2015, he served as an advisor and subsequently as a Board Member at the Career Resource Center in Lake Forest prior to its closure two years ago. He is excited to continue his volunteer work at TBCC.

Possessing and exhibiting an attitude of confidence throughout the job search is key. To build this confidence, he works with job seekers to ensure they have a firm grasp of the key strengths they bring to a business, a resume focused on quantifiable accomplishments, a solid LinkedIn profile, a target list of companies, and a realistic plan that leverages their network of contacts, online job sites, recruiters, and social media to identify job opportunities and secure those sought-after interviews.

Brent spent over 35 years in the world of sales and sales management and held senior leadership positions at Taylor, Nelson, Sofres (now Kantar, one of the world’s leading market research firms).
