Bharath Tolappa

Bharath is a senior sales and consulting professional with 30-plus years of experience in information technology outsourcing, managed services and management consulting. He gained his experience at blue chip companies such as IBM, HP, Deloitte Consulting and Accenture. During his career he has worked with business clients from the Consumer and Packaged Goods, Manufacturing, Automotive, Retailing, Life Sciences, Professional Services, IT Services and Technology industries.

After a job loss in the Great Recession of 2008-2009, Mr. Tolappa used a structured job search approach that applied self-awareness and personal branding to research, target and network into companies to land his next role. 

Upon retiring in 2014, Mr. Tolappa wanted to give back to the Chicago community as a volunteer job search coach. He enjoys meeting clients of different backgrounds. His empowering approach covers identifying personal values and strengths, conducting research to identify target organizations, preparing an elevator speech, resumes and handbills, networking, informational interviewing, interview preparation through mock interviews and negotiating job offers. In the last six years, he has helped about a hundred clients in job search.
