The Barrington Career Center has been the best $200 that I have spent during my unemployment. Not only did this give me productive things to do during my days of searching, but The Barrington Career Center gave me a community to work with and to share my updates with. I found that being a Member of the Barrington Career Center to be very productive.
What an amazing experience. The team was incredibly knowledgeable and the resources valuable. The service had an amazing impact on producing a positive attitude for me and I learned a lot about myself and the job search process. I will truly miss working with the team and the ELA group.
The Volunteers of The Barrington Career Center were excellent in their guidance and teachings, and they always made the environment light-hearted, but also conductive to learning. Truly felt that they were invested in my success. Many thanks to Bill, Ildi, Lee, and the rest of the team.
Thanks to the entire The Barrington Career Center team for providing me with the resources, skill building and JSWT. Even though I had to pause my job search because of high demand work times, I stuck with The Barrington Career Center. I appreciated the accountability and expertise I gained from my coaches and other job seekers. I progressively learned how to position myself and relate the uniqueness of my background both through my written and verbal communications with the interviewer(s). Doug and Ed were valuable in providing additional coaching when needed. I also learned to become a much better networker, which is a skill I use every single day in my professional and personal life.
TBCC has been a much-appreciated lifeline in my search for my next career opportunity. Everyone has been extremely supportive in assisting me in finding my next role. Would like to take an opportunity to thank Bill Schrack, who introduced me to the TBCC, Doug Reed, Ed Lorgeree, and Bharath Tolappa, who’s insights and guidance pushed me to believe in myself and my abilities and the ELA, who helped me find networking opportunities I was not looking for. I have and will continue to recommend this organization for anyone looking for coaching, resources, and networking opportunities.
I'm excited to report that I accepted a Customer Success Manager position at NoRedInk, a company from the top of my target list, earlier this week. My start date is June 1, right after the end of my school year.
I'm incredibly grateful for everyone who supported me at TBCC. I remember being skeptical about the Pierson Method at first and wondering whether I would ever be able to successfully complete my career pivot. But once I trusted the process and followed the advice of my coaches, things really came together quickly for me.
I don't know if I ever would've been able to complete my career pivot by myself, but I DO know that TBCC helped me find a new job and find confidence in myself exponentially quicker than trying to go it alone. I already consider myself a "TBCC Disciple" and have started spreading the word to other teachers and friends looking to make a career switch.
I promise anyone considering TBCC that it will be the best $200 investment you ever make!
I’m excited to be able to tell you that I recently accepted a new position as Chief Marketing Officer of The Zebra. The Zebra is the leading insurance comparison site in the US. The company is based in Austin, TX.
I found my way to ELA in late August during a long and difficult search. Aric M. was kind enough to introduce me to Bill Schrack. I wish I had met ELA earlier because the group and support was incredible.
I was fortunate in September to have several opportunities come my way and I became engrossed in trying to land one for my family. Each process was very long and required significant work and I did not get to attend many Thursday Zoom meetings. Bill and my ELA Coach Chris Campbell and the resources of ELA were instrumental in helping me be my best during this time.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bill for his leadership of a remarkable group as well as all the members in the group who were so generous with their time, support, and encouragement. In particular, Adriano P., went above and beyond. Best of luck to all in 2022!
TBCC seems to have a pulse on the executive environment both Pre and Post Covid. They provide good proven coaching resources as well as relevant and useful information to reduce the lead time to placement. High marks to the effectiveness of the organization as well as my primary highly effective contacts Bharath Tolappa, Tom Southall, and Jim Austgen. Also, Rosie Zilinskas for the 30 60 90 Workshop in preparation of my start.
I have utilized The Barrington Career Center multiple times. I think that they provide the best job search assistance out of anyone. I have talked with alumni from Kellogg and Booth (top business schools). They only get 5 hours of career counseling a year. The coaches have been very helpful.
I will never forget the phenomenal support and training I received from The Barrington Career Center. I owe my coaches, Doug Reed and Jim Austgen, for the compassion, support, and motivational ideas they shared with me during this crazy "job journey".
